Inspiration:
The collection is inspired by the fabric chosen. The collection strived at challenging the traditional connotations of the color black and its significance in the Indian culture. It is mostly seen as a color of bad omen and grief. Juxtaposing the color black with the most stable shape in physical form, a circle.
Process:
The fabric used in the collection is handwoven black amber chakra fabric handwoven in Gandhigram. Every piece of the collection is derived from a circular shape with very minimum wastage. Aloe Vera fibre is used as embroidery on circular pockets.
